Donald Henry Berwager, 77, of Westminster died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born June 5, 1932 in Baltimore he was the son of the late John Hurley Berwager and Mary Blauvelt Berwager. Survived by his wife of 56 years Jessie M. Berwager.
Before retiring he worked as an engineer for Bendix. He served as a paratrooper in the Army in the 82nd Airborne. He enjoyed antique cars and model airplanes.
Besides his wife he is survived by sons and daughter-in-law Michael and Judy Berwager of Independence, Kansas and John Berwager of Manchester, grandson Matthew Berwager of Westminster and devoted friend Kay Smith of Westminster.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery with Military Honors.
