Lucille Agnes Bowen, 89, of Westminster died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at her daughter's residence. Born May 12, 1920 in Westminster she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mamie Bastin. She was the wife of 50 years to the late James L. Bowen Jr. who died Oct. 10, 1990.
She graduated from Forrest Park High School. She was a long time member of Liberty Church, PCA for over 40 years. She worked at the A & P general offices and later at Don's Flowers in Randallstown for 7 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed reading her Bible, writing articles in the church newsletter and sending cards of cheer and encouragement to many friends and family.
Survived by son and daughter-in-law James A. and Mary Bowen of Glen Arm, daughter and son-in-law Kay E. and Glenn O. Wagner of Westminster. Also survived by grandchildren Scott E. Zimmerman, Kimberly K. and husband Michael Hott, Jeremy S. and his wife Nicole Bowen and Jamie M. Bowen and friend Terry Kreitz, step-grandchildren William A. and wife Deborah Wagner and Gregory K. and friend Stacey Lewis, great-grandchildren Bailey and Allison Zimmerman, Madison and Maxwell Hott, Alexandra Bowen and Nathan D. and Ian M. Wagner.
She was predeceased by sisters Dorothy McCue and Helen Young.
The family will receive friends at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster today from 7 to 9 P.M. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
Funeral services will be held at Liberty Church, PCA 11310 Liberty Rd., Owings Mills, MD 21117 on Monday at 11 A.M. Interment in Lake View Memorial Park.
