Julia Ann Placko, 85, of Westminster, died Saturday evening, March 13, 2010 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House. Born March 14, 1924 in Tarentum, PA she was the daughter of the late Julia Kalincak and Joseph Chovan. She was married to the late John S. Placko. Before retiring she worked as a presser for Westminster Knit. She was a member of Westminster Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed volunteer bible visits, going to the gym and staying connected with family and friends.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Michelle Placko Cutsail and Mark Cutsail of Westminster, sons and daughter-in-laws John and Judy Placko of Georgia, F. Richard Placko of Maryland, Robert "Dave" and Sherri Placko of Pennsylvania, brothers Pete, Joe and Frank Chovan, grandchildren David and Sean Placko, Clinton John Cutsail, Andrew and Ben Placko and Amanda Brown. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was predeceased by sister Ann Mosovsky and brother John Chovan. Services will be held at the Westminster Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday, March 20 at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westminster Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1131 S.
