James Melvin Gill, 73, of Westminster died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at the Golden Living Center. Born May 24, 1936 in Baltimore he was the son of the late Earl and Ida Yingling Gill. He worked as a salesman for Bees Distributing in Finksburg and then worked for Napa Auto Parts in Finksburg. He served in the Marines and enjoyed NASCAR. He was a member of the Littlestown Eagles and Hampstead American Legion Post No. 200. Survived by his former wife Mary Gill of Westminster, step-children and spouses Rose and Fred Bean of Finksburg, Butch Curtis of Kansas City, Missouri, Chuck and Bonnie Curtis of Glyndon, sister Margie Gill Muse of Abbottstown, Pa., nephews and wives Gil and Debbie Muse of Finksburg and Bobby and Sue Muse of Littlestown, Pa. Also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
